Girdle of Venus


The lines that the
Summer sun drew
On your Breasts,
They matched perfectly
On my girdle of Venus.

A little closer,
A little more...
and
Lesser I saw of
You and me.

Merged, Twisted,
Our bodies
Coiled and recoiled
And our tongues
Roamed in the
Valleys and peaks,

While my vision
Blurred in love,
As your soul
Breathed in me.

This poem is inspired from a शेर of Gulzar-साब that I had read years back, yet those lines never fails to haunt me even now. इरशाद है:

तकिये पे तेरे सर का वोह टिप्पा है, परा है
चादर में तेरे जिस्म की वोह सोंधी सी खुशबू
हाथों में मेहेकता है तेरे चहरे का एहसास
माथे पे तेरे होठों की मोहोर लगी है

तू इतनी करीब है की तुझे देखू भी तो कैसे
थोड़ी सी अलग हो तो तेरे चहरे को देखू
